Léon-Claude Duhamel created this originally Paris-based brand in 1965, having been inspired to keep people dry after watching inhabitants of the French capital scuttle about in the rain with awkward umbrellas in hand. From this initial observation, K-WAY’s lightweight, comfortable and completely waterproof rain jacket was born. Today, the brand is part of the BasicNet Group’s portfolio, and K-WAY is such a well-known label that it appears in the Italian dictionary. How’s that for kudos?
