Nick James

Founded in 2003, Nick James started Nick James Design as a way to showcase his passion for well crafted furniture and homeware. He’s an advocate of traditional woodworking techniques that are rare in contemporary practice, and central to his practice is his love of natural materials and intelligent design. Every item is designed and handmade in-house by a team of highly skilled craftsmen and women in the brand’s workshop in Mushroom Works in Newcastle upon Tyne. For Nick, every piece of his high quality furniture is destined to be an heirloom – passed down through the generations, becoming more cherished as time passes.
