Named after the northwestern ka-lin-kaw tribe, renowned for its unrivalled weaving skills, the brand works with craftspeople whose artistry is both underpaid and dwindling in demand thanks to large-scale and centralised manufacturing. Kalinko Home aims to close the gap between Burma’s average income and the cost of nutrition, education and healthcare. Every penny from the cost of purchase goes straight to the people who make each piece, from recycled hand blown glassware to hand woven cushion covers.
