The main ingredient is “Yunohana”, a mineral deposit from Beppu's hot springs, which has been crafted in this region for nearly 350 years. These crystals react solely to Beppu's mountain "Blue clay", resulting in water rich in natural minerals that is gentle on the skin.
Blue clay (Montmorillonite) is the essential ingredient to yunohana making. Artisans spread this blue clay over the floor of the yunohana huts to create a clay bed. This blue clay, a specialty of the Beppu region, is comprised of very fine particles, and is a very unique ingredient rich in minerals such as iron an aluminium.
The process takes about three months, using hot water flowers (crystals of hot spring water that react only with blue clay from the mountains of Beppu) and artisan-produced Yunohana. To increase the purity of the collected hot water flowers, they are mixed with Beppu hot spring water and left for about a month. Slowly and slowly over time, the amber-coloured yunohana extract is refined and extracted.
The bath product is free of fragrance and sulfur, making it suitable for everyone. Enriched with trace minerals, it has a heat-retaining effect that prevents the body's warmth from dissipating even after bathing. A satisfying bath experience is also linked to promoting a restful and pleasant sleep.
* The gift packet consists of three individual packets, each containing 60 grams of powder.
