Alexander Girard and Charles and Ray Eames were prominent figures in postwar American design. Several of the Greeting Card motifs have been selected by Vitra in collaboration with the Girard family and the Eames Office.
Although the focus of Girard's work was textile design, he was also widely recognized for his work in graphic arts and the design of furniture, exhibition spaces, and interior architecture.
