Like many other legendary architects and designers of the twentieth century, Charles and Ray Eames also dedicated part of their time to designing fabrics to capture their ideas in terms of colors, shapes and materials. The Dot Pattern design was created in 1947 for an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The pattern consists of variations of a graphic design formed by crosses and dots to form a larger composition and refers to Ray Eamess abstract paintings from the 1930s.
