The Esplar is affectionately named after an NGO in Brazil who Veja have worked with since 2005, supporting organic and family farming. The leather on the Esplar is certified Gold by the Leather Working Group ensuring sustainable processes and environmentally positive practices in tanneries. Veja was founded by two childhood friends who named the brand which is translated from Portuguese-Brazilian as ‘look’. Look beyond the trainer to see the ethical production and sustainable materials used.
