The design of the Hanging Lamp gallows was born from a personal need for designer Muller Van Severen. In their house, the dining room did not have a ceiling lamp allowing to install a suspension, so there was a need to connect a lamp from the walls. In order to meet this need, the designer couple designed this line in space allowing to bring a light point over their dining table. The first prototypes of the Hanging Lamp wall lamp were exhibited at the Valérie Traan gallery in 2011 \. This line in suspension in space may seem to be a naive transcription of a drawing on a sheet, but it is fully part of the approach underlying the work of designers: the search for a sleek drawing offering the answer appropriate for a need. The design of the lamp derives its strength from its simplicity.
