Product details

Hand-mined and polished Scottish Lewisian set in a 925 sterling silver thistle design - the national flower of Scotland!

Please note that we have more than one of these pendants in stock, and the pendant you receive, although very similar, may not be the exact pendant in the photographs.

Comes complete with complimentary matching 18" 925 silver link chain. Pendant measures roughly 26x20x6mm, including bail.

At Two Skies, we think that "to own a piece of Scottish Lewisian is to own a piece of Lewis itself."

* Scottish Lewisian

Lewisian comes from the Isles of Lewis, Harris and North Highlands. It is collected from the ancient bedrock of Scotland and is one of the oldest rocks in the world, up to 3 billion years old (3,000,000,000 years!). It is a unique composition of many minerals including Feldspar, Epidote and Quartz, all of which are part of the "Lewisian Gneiss" complex. Lewisian has been treasured for thousands of years by the clans of Scotland. It was used by the Megalithic cultures to construct monuments such as the Callanish stone circle on the Isle of Lewis
