Hand-mined and polished Scottish Lewisian set in a 925 sterling silver thistle design - the national flower of Scotland! Earrings measure approximately 20x18x4mm, not including eye and sterling silver ear hook.
We have more than one of these pair of earrings in stock, and you may not receive the exact pair in the photographs. Although every Lewisian gemstone is unique, you will receive a very similar pair to the one in the photos, which is of the same high quality.

At Two Skies, we think that "to own a piece of Scottish Lewisian is to own a piece of Lewis itself."
* Scottish Lewisian
Lewisian comes from the Isles of Lewis, Harris and North Highlands. It is collected from the ancient bedrock of Scotland and is one of the oldest rocks in the world, up to 3 billion years old (3,000,000,000 years!). It is a unique composition of many minerals including Feldspar, Epidote and Quartz, all of which are part of the "Lewisian Gneiss" complex. Lewisian has been treasured for thousands of years by the clans of Scotland. It was used by the Megalithic cultures to construct monuments such as the Callanish stone circle on the Isle of Lewis
