First launched in 1967, this classic Tretorn Nylite Sneaker in White / White is a tennis shoe inspired design – with its signature arrow – and continues it’s winning streak today. Maintaining all of the design lines from the original pieces in the 60’s but updated with a more solid sole unit made from 50% natural rubber combined with a partially unlined upper created in a heavy cotton canvas with a bound edge and simplified construction perfect for the summer. Designed to be comfortable all day with or without socks, the part recycled part natural rubber in-sock base adds a sustainable aspect to the already 100% locally sourced materials incorporated in this update.
History of the Nylite style:
With Björn Borg wearing the shoe both on and off the court, and other tennis stars following suit, the Nylite rocketed to celebrity status. The Nylite became a preppy staple – a look that drew its inspiration from the Ivy League, and paired sportswear with more tailored pieces.
