Eric Ravilious: Landscapes and Nature - Ella Ravilious

Ella Ravilious is the granddaughter of Eric Ravilious and Tirzah Garwood and is a curator of architecture and design at the Victoria and Albert Museum. This is her first book.

She introduces the reader to the influences on her grandfather's life; how he made copious use of the collections of the British Museum and the V&A, and his relationship with Tirzah Garwood.

After her introductory essay there are plates of Ravilious's work together with descriptions of them. These include works that Ravilious was commissioned to make for commercial projects - working with Wedgwood, making illustrations for London Transport - and also the fine art that he made.

Hardback. 144 pages.
