Glass, oil bubbles is an extension of our stained glass candle collection.

The new, round glass candles are designed by the architect mikkel lang mikkelsen. The oil bubbles collection is made of through-colored glass and consists of a round glass ball that floats on a colored glass stand.

The glass candle is filled with lamp oil, with the corresponding small funnel.

Danish designed glass candles

Mouthbread glass light with walls:

the candles are mouth-blown and made of through-colored glass of the borosilicate type. Borosilicate glass is an extremely strong type of glass that can withstand temperature shocks, so you do not have to worry about the glass cracking. The material is also scratch-resistant, which means that the light will stay nice for a long time.

Since the glass candles are not ordinary candles, you will be free of candles dripping on the table or tablecloth.

If the glass needs to be cleaned, you can easily wash it in hot or boiling water with sulfo.

Burning time & lamp oil:

Oil and wicks have a great influence on the burning time, and therefore we have tested different lamp oils to find the best oil for our particular glass candle.

We recommend that you use the lamp oil from the brand alaska. This oil is a fairly common lamp oil, which is odor and soot free.

The oil from alaska is good for indoor use and can be bought right here :

a filled candle can burn for about 25 hours continuously, depending on the type of oil.

Note. It is important that you do not split the wicks, as the light will burn significantly worse. There is always 1 extra wick in a package, always fill only when the glass has cooled.

Filling oil:

Leave the wick in the small glass tube.

Fill with oil using the small funnel provided.

Dab the top of the wick with a drop of oil from the funnel. Let 0.3-0.5 mm wick peek up to the flame so that the flame does not become too long and soot.

The light is usually switched off by blowing or using a light extinguisher.

A glass candle, incl. 2 Wicks and funnel come in a round discreet cardboard tube, they can therefore be easily packed and sent. Oil is not included, but can be purchased online or in supermarkets.
