A limited edition giclée print of an abstract painting featuring an elusive Pine Marten among a mirage of rich forest greens. The original painting was painted especially for and sold in a charity auction with Somerset Wildlife Trust. The Pine Marten is endangered in England and Wales so a portion of profits made from this print will be donated to People’s Trust for Endangered Species to help support the reintroduction of this beautiful animal into Britain. Pine Martens once thrived across Britain but came very close to extinction quite recently due to deforestation and hunting. A program to reintroduce them to our woodlands is now slowly taking effect which may also benefit British Red Squirrel populations since pine martens prey on the more dominant Grey Squirrel.
This art print is of an original painting that was created using oil and mixed media on canvas combined with transfers of Sky’s detailed pencil illustrations.
