This unique product is made from hand-braided metal wire in Moradabad in Northern India, also known as the 'copper city' of India. The technique used originated from weaving twigs into baskets for practical daily use. In this way they maintain this beautiful craft and it is passed on from generation to generation. It has a thick glass inside to make it safe for a candle, but it's also suitable as storage for something else.

The women who make this product earn fair wages, which makes them more independent. This allows them to take care of their family and let their children go to school. In addition to receiving health care, they work in safe conditions and receive on-the-job training.
