These rosettes are made by women from the Nepalese capital Kathmandu and surroundings. They make this product by hand. The paper they use comes from the lokta plant from the Himalayas and is scooped by hand. The entire production process is so extensive that it involves at least 200 hands.

By making this product from lokta paper, the women have their own income and therefore independence. In cooperation with Plan International Nederland, part of the profit is spent on vocational training for mostly young women. You a beautiful product, a better life.
