This sweet handmade pendulum "happy birthday" is made by women from the Nepalese capital Kathmandu and surroundings. The paper they use comes from the lokta plant from the Himalayas and is scooped by hand. The entire production process is so extensive that it involves at least 200 hands.

By making products from lokta paper, the women from Kathmandu have their own income, which makes them independent. In cooperation with Plan International Nederland, part of the profit is spent on vocational training for mostly young women in Nepal, among others. You a beautiful product, a better life.
