This book is the follow up to a book that was exclusively about the pubs of London. The extension of the remit of the book now means that it covers pubs in Cornwall, Norfolk, Northumberland and more . . . and gives the authors and publishers the opportunity in the future to expand into the Great Pubs of Britain!
Some of the pubs are old fashioned boozers, all dark wood, etched glass panels and collections of tankards hanging from the roof beams whereas others are more modern interpretations of the pub, including the Gunton Arms in Norfolk where art works by Darren Almond and Tracey Emin grace the walls. Some of the pubs are frequented by longstanding regulars and others have been colonised by a new generation of habituees.
