C: 23.5" H: 6" D: 7" Jack is a self taught studio potter working from Chy Gwynn Pottery in Cusgarne, Cornwall. His pots are predominantly made with stoneware clay from St. Agnes which is then fired within 25 minutes of the source. Living just 3 miles from the clay pit, Jack is often found walking the landscape which he uses to create functional pottery to last. Aside form gas firing Jack also wood fires within an Anagama kiln near Newlyn which is tended to for around 50 hours and reaches above 1300 degrees centigrade. Due to the environment within the kiln, each pot will showcase a unique visual story of its interaction with the flame, embers and wood ash.
