This artisanal and authentic piece will give your interior decoration a touch of color and bohemian.
This wool kilim is a unique piece handwoven by Pashtun men. It is a dominant ethnic group in Afghanistan, established mainly in the south and east of the country as well as in the north-west province of Pakistan.
These kilims, which are characterized by various geometric shapes, colored or not, are part of the traditional culture of this originally nomadic people.
These kilims have the particularity of being able to be used on both sides. They are very resistant thanks to their dense weaving, and are easy to maintain. They adhere well to the ground but for more comfort, you can add an anti-slip if you wish.
It is an easy to live carpet, not dirty and suitable for all the rooms of an apartment: from the entrance through the kitchen, the living room and even down the bed.
Kilim is a flat woven rug and is therefore less dense and thick than a wool-stranded rug. «Kilim» is a Turkish word for woven textile, it is used throughout the Arab world where flat woven carpets are made. Like Berber carpets, Kilim has a very strong cultural identity and represents the tribe in which it is woven. Thus, its patterns, colors and wool vary according to its geographical origin. So you have plenty of choice to choose the one that best suits your home decor!
