This tray is a refined object for leaving precious objects, handmade from goat black parchment. Featuring an original drawing by Federico Carandini, the tray is finished with a translucent layer obtained through a complex manufacturing process, whereby the parchment becomes transparent when applied to the wooden surface.

Since 1991, Paolo Carandini has been creating pieces for the table in leather and calfskin, exhibiting annually at important fairs such as Maison&Objet and Ambiente. In 2000, Carandini opened a shop in Florence and started using parchment, which became the star of the Boxes of Wonder collection, in which - like a book - each box tells a story through images on transparent parchment.
