This is special to us: the elastic and comfortable version of our first denim jungle of the legendary Kaihara Japanese factory. The rigid version left us astonished in 2001 and, thanks to how incredibly well it ages, it is still astonishing. This version has been developed to possess the same property of aging but with elasticity, which makes it comfortable and appropriate for the Slim Courts. "The original Dry Selvage" has a deep indigo warp, a "raw" plot Compact preparation, a dry touch and a starchy texture. It is pure beauty in its dry state, but the most significant part of Denim is its aging property: how it evolves with wear. To understand it, let's get a little technical. The warp is stained for the first time in a dark sulfur dye and subsequently in Indigo. This dyeing technique gives it a deep and off indigo blue tone that is so beautiful, accompanied by our orange stitching. It is also what gives the denim its intriguing nuances as it ages. It is what we call a greenish denim, a denim that has a slight greenish blue tone that becomes more evident with use. With years of wear and washings, as the dark denim tone becomes lighter, the greenish tone begins to bow towards a tone between reddish and light blue. Intriguing and amazing!
