These stunning handmade lidded palm baskets are created by the women of San Luis, Mexico.
A lot of time and skill is taken stripping and dying the palm leaves before weaving in traditional Mixtec patterns; whole process done entirely by hand. The lidded baskets have been part of everyday life for the community for generations, storing grains and other daily essentials.
