Before lighting the candle, either leave the stones in the candle or take them out! When the wax melts, the stones can slide a bit, so make sure the stones aren't too close to the basket so that the flame doesn't go out. And don't worry, if the stones merge with the wax and are pulled, they will still retain the same energy.
