Loclen-Tekno 1 is a mechanical pencil with twist mechanism.
The barrel is a plain metal tube. There's a knurled metal grip section, which provides plenty of grip, as well as giving the pen a more technical style.
The steel ring between the knurled twist-mechanism is the top of the inside mechanism that pushes the refill down to extend the tip.
If you want to add spare leads, just unscrew the grip section to reveal the pencil mechanism inside. Pull out the small black cap, and add more leads. The small replaceable eraser you find under the knurled top.
