Keith Haring - Simon Doonan

This short book on the influential artist Keith Haring is written by Simon Doonan. In the first pages of the book Doonan dedicates the book to the memory of not just Keith Haring but also 'all the creative daredevils in his orbit whose lives were cut short by the scourge of AIDS.' In 2019 there was a fantastic retrospective of Haring's work at Tate Liverpool and the breadth of his practice and also his campaigning shone through in that exhibition but also in this book.

Doonan also brings the volatile culture of 1980s New York to life in this biography having witnessed first-hand Haring's meteoric rise.
