Created for Kähler by Icelandic-Danish artist Thora Finnsdottir, the Christmas Tales artist uses muted colours and soft shapes to reflect on the natural Nordic world with all the benefits of tranquility and charm it portrays. The piece Christmas Joy features a small boy relaxing as he lies back against a giant pine cone while exploring in the forest. The small figures in smooth white porcelain stand out amongst the natural textures and glazes in earthy forest shades surrounding him.
