The Lovisa Bath Brush by Iris Hantverk in oil treated oak and horse hair. Horse hair is an excellent material in bathing brushes because it is soft and pliable while it is sturdy and durable and has a certain elasticity. Along with a good soap it gives a soft and comfortable lather for a perfect cleaning. Allow the brush to dry hanging or standing on the horsehair so that the water is transported away from the wood that is more sensitive to moisture.

Dedicated to using natural materials, Iris Hantverk crafts the brush’s handle from oil treated oak whilst the bristles are expertly fashioned from horse hair. Praised for its soft and pliable texture, horse hair is also sturdy, durable and has the perfect degree of elasticity that makes it the perfect material for body brushes.

Each brush is bound at Iris Hantverk’s Swedish studio in Sandsborgsvägen by visually impaired craftspeople. Using centuries old methods, they expertly craft each brush in line with old Swedish tradition.
