The Hobonichi Weeks planner features a compact design for easy portability. Its dimensions are similar to a long wallet, making it slim and tall. The left page displays a weekly overview with horizontal sections, while the right page offers a blank section for jotting down notes during the week. The layout is ideal for professional use.
_Bijutsukai_ and _Shin Bijutsuk_ _ai_ are craft design books published during the Meiji period (1868–1912). Both contain beautiful designs created by various Japanese painters and designers. This collection of multicolored woodblock print designs was published by Unsodo, a Kyoto-based art publishing company and the only publisher of hand-printed woodblock books in Japan.
This Weeks book features a craft design from the Bijutsukai collection, showcasing pastel geometric motifs and intricate red lines. Japanese aristocrats used to write Waka poems on paper mulberry leaves, making this craft design historically significant as it incorporates elements from the Tanabata star festival. The shapes and colors of the pieces also evoke a sense of the future.
