Their pleasing palette of colours (with different coloured lids to the body of the tin) can add interest to the normally staid world of kitchen storage. Of course, you can’t see through the tin to see the contents but that could work to your advantage . . . you could keep a stash of bourbon cream biscuits in one and tell everyone else with access to the tin that it just contains wheatgerm!
