This product from Danish design house HAY is probably best described as decorative but they are actually weightier than they look and could make a good paperweight. Each piece is individually made so no two are the same and they can be positioned resting on various sides or edges so that you can either look straight through it or not. This knot is from the second release of glass knots by HAY. The glass for this knot has a ridged texture.
