The Kemala Cushion Cover is a result of our cooperation with Goethe-Institut of South-East Asia. It was designed by the Berlin-based textile designer Anne Hederer and produced by the artisans of Batik Winotosastro, one of the oldest and most traditional batik family businesses in Indonesia. Traditional batik artisans apply complex patterns with hot wax on a piece of textile and then dye it. The applied wax protects parts of the textile from the dye so that these stay light. The contrast between the dark blue textile and the white splashes transforms these cushion covers into a real eye-catcher in every home.
