Product details

Super tactile and comfortable to wear, this minimal ring is handmade and completely unique, made using coloured pigments mixed with white porcelain to create colours and patterns within the ring. After firing, the surface is polished to create a smooth surface.

These rings are carved from white porcelain clay, with with a variety of colours and shapes. The prominent colour is on the listing, even if some have more than one colour in their design.

Band thickness: 4m. The size may vary slightly due to the nature of the piece, please contact me if you have any questions about the sizing and we'll be happy to help.

**Which size is for me?**

If you don’t know your ring size, you could measure across the inside of a ring you already have to get the diameter. You can measure the widest part of the knuckle on the finger you’d like to wear the ring on, and this will give you a guide to the diameter of the ring, but will vary a little with hand shape. The rings are listed with their UK size, but do get in touch if you need further information. hello@firstandlast.shop.

**Care Instructions:**

If any marks get onto your jewellery, you can wash them off with soap and water.

The ring is fired to a high temperature and is a strong material. However, it can still be fragile if dropped onto a hard surface so it is recommended when putting on and taking off your jewellery, to do so over a soft surface.

**About Emily Marston**.

Emily Marston is a ceramicist based in Oxford. She works in small batches to create minimal ceramic artworks, influenced by nature and architectural design. Water – sea, river, lake, as well as open skies and the landscape around where she lives in Oxfordshire all have an impact on her work.

She is attracted to minimalist architectural design, particularly buildings that fully embrace and work with nature in a sustainable way. This contrast of the natural and built environment also feeds into the shapes that she creates.

Before finding pottery, Emily studied Fine Art Painting at Winchester School of Art, followed by History of Art and Architecture when she moved to Oxford. She spent over ten years curating and promoting the work of artists and designer makers and is still passionate about championing other artists, appreciating the love that goes into anything handmade.
