Having your own herb garden is a real treat. It’s one of the best ways to look after yourself, make your garden beautiful and support the buzz of wildlife all at the same time. As well as being a delight to look at and a place to indulge your senses, you can also harvest and enjoy the herbs throughout the year right from your very own backyard.
The herbs in the Beginner’s Herb Garden are all easy to grow and are easy to use. Within a few months you will be drinking your own fresh chamomile tea, making your own pesto as well as decorating your food with calendula flowers and fresh oregano leaves.
And with a bit of practice you can soon have a selection of nourishing massage oils, soothing salves and tonic tinctures to help keep you in good health. There is no end to the journey of discovery in a herbal garden, and we hope this collection of seeds inspires you to take the first steps. Best of luck and happy growing!
Species in the collection: Basil, Genovese; Calendula; Chamomile, German; Echinacea Purpurea, Oregano & Valerian.
**How to Use**
You can use the herbs fresh in teas or dry them to use later. And you can make culinary or massage oils by infusing the dried herbs in olive oil; salves by blending the herbal oils with beeswax; tinctures through infusing in alcohol.
To dry the herbs lay them in a well ventilated, warm area for a few days. A dehydrator or airing cupboard are perfect for drying the highest quality herbs. Store them in an airtight jar and enjoy at your leisure.
The product will be shipped to you from: Sunshine and Snow in Bideford, UK.
