Product details

1921 Bernard Albin Gras developed a series of luminaries for industry and design offices. The LAMP GRASS as it will be named in the future, amazes by its ergonomics and simple mechanics: no Schwabe, no weld and it convinces by its robustness and longevity.

In 1927 the company acquires Raveldesda's patent and starts producing grass. Bernard-Albin Gras was one of the first designers of the 20th century.

He added to the function a sensitive design and a formal language that is still accepted today. The details of the mobility and the special design of the base convince again and again. Technical refinements such as the unique locking of the limbs and the inclination conjure up a smile. Soon the lamp Gras Le Corbusier convinces with its functionality and unique design. As an avid user he uses the luminary in his own offices as well as in world-wide projects. Others like Robert Mallet-Stevens, Jacques Emile Buhlmann, Eileen Gray are just as enthusiastic as Sonia Delauny, Georges Braque and many others.
