A tongue cleaner is a very ancient detox tool used in Ayurveda for thousands of years.

Keep in mind that the bacteria on your tongue multiply while you sleep, feeding on food particles and dead cells. That's why you wake up with such unsexy breath. Using a tongue cleaner to scrape bacteria from your tongue first thing in the morning and on an empty stomach is up to 5 times more effective than using a toothbrush.

Scrape before drinking or eating anything in the morning to avoid re-ingesting the bacteria accumulated on your tongue.

Any other time you feel bad breath, after playing sports, drinking alcohol, a plane trip or a heavy meal, you can use your tongue cleaner to improve your breath.

If your tongue scraper has rusted, accept the imperfection. It is normal for copper to oxidize with use. It doesn't mean it's dirty. We actually think it gives it a beautiful, more traditional look. Just make sure you keep rinsing the tongue cleaner after use and you'll be fine. But if you want it to be shiny again, simply rub a mixture of white vinegar and table salt with a cloth and rinse.
