Bordallo Pinheiro popularized ceramic swallows in the Portuguese popular imaginary and today are a decorative element that has become fashionable in our homes, terraces, and commercial premises.
These funny swallows are made in a small ceramic workshop run by António and Lucía, artisan masters from northern Portugal. They perform each ceramic swallow, using a mold, and then paint them by hand in black enameled finish.
The placement is very simple, you have to choose the place where the swallows want to be placed, and place a clavite forming an angle of 45 degrees with the wall up to prevent them from falling, it can also be placed with a alcayata or similar . There are four different sizes and our advice is that you combine them creating an authentic swallow family hanging from your wall.
