Ceramic swallows are a symbol that represents family, love and fidelity.
Bordallo Pinheiro popularized them at the end of the 19th century in the Portuguese popular imagination and today they are still in fashion in our homes, decorating interiors, terraces and also commercial premises.
The swallows that we bring to Freilka are made in a small ceramic workshop by master craftsmen from the north of Portugal who make each piece one by one using a mold, painting them by hand in glazed finishes of different colors.
Installation is very simple, placing a small nail forming a 45 degree angle with the wall to prevent them from falling, they can also be placed with a hook or similar.
