Between 1926 and 1933 only 199 Trimotor were built in the Ford factory. The wavy metal on large thick single wings was a German development, used in Ju-52 junker planes that flew on the Berlin-Roma-London route. Trimators were used by airlines, oil companies and wealthy private individuals. The Ford Trimotor and the Junkers Ju-52 were pioneering planes that led to generations of planes from Douglas and Boeing planes, which soon crossed the world.
