Story
Beni M’rirt Rug is woven with prestigious, pure, and unspun wool. This particular type of wool has never been made into yarn - and it comes from Morocco’s most elegant sheep. If you’re looking through the quality lens: You’ll find that this is considered the pinnacle of wool in terms of rarity and quality. With unparalleled comfort and seamlessness, this type of wool is stain and fire-resistant!
Each rug is crafted using ancient techniques, passed down from mother to daughter, a family passion, and honored skill. The luxury Mrirt rugs are woven only by the most accomplished artisans of the tribe and are rare taking longer with each piece than other Berber rugs.
Every rug is individual and chosen by us for the way it inspires and makes us strive for greater things. We choose to preserve an ancestral practice dating back to the Palaeolithic era. Each artist works and has a connection with the wilderness of the Atlas Mountains. Woven in only local wool, it is kept pure, never processed, natural fire-resistant repels stains, and is both warm & sound-insulating.
