If something isn't available in the backyard, Amstrong will look to the next closest locale. For example, Amstrong source beeswax from beekeepers in the Hudson Valley, NY, orange oil from American family groves, and carnauba wax from organic Brazilian farmers (carnauba wax, like coffee, is only cultivated in equatorial parts of the world). Amstrong uses minimal, high-recyclable-content packaging and has essentially zero waste. Since they do not use any harsh chemicals, any "waste" can be diverted to your garden or compost system, if not recycled. Amstrong does not like synthetic chemicals, parabens, phthalates, or petroleum derivatives and is very happy to use only all-natural ingredients in their products.
