Product details

Apartment is a biannual magazine in English about everyday interiors. It is a printed space for people, not just objects. Apartamento is a magazine about homes, living spaces and design solutions, as opposed to houses, photo sets and design dictatorships. Apartment features the homes and lives of creative people, both established and emerging, from around the world. It understands interior design as a means of personal expression, showing how people organize their homes and the solutions they find for the same problems we all face. Apartment presents a fresh and simple aesthetic. It is concerned with the way people live and their relationship with the places they live. "Apartment is the interiors magazine postmaterialists have been waiting for" - The Moment, The New York Times.

ESPACE AYGO LIVES FOREVER! Brussels-based design collective Espace Aygo appears on the cover of the new issue of Apartamento Magazine, featuring its four members amid the lunar landscapes of their home. Photographed by Lee Wei Swee, the new cover serves as both an elegy for a space that will be demolished shortly after the New Year and a showcase of Espace Aygo's designs and interventions. Text by Emanuele Coccia.

Number 34 also includes Espace Aygo, Ronan Bouroullec, Rose Wylie Agosto Machado, Miyako Bellizzi, SAGG Napoli, Jane Dickson, Luca Lo Pinto, Gary Son solder by John Erdman, Celeste, Beca Lipscombe, Edgardo Giménez, Molly Manning Walker, Danny Fox, Bethan Laura Wood, Tove Jansson and Olivia Laing. More: Texts by Phoebe Chen, Wale Ayinla, Janika Oza, Thea McLachlan, Miguel Angel Hernández (tr. Fionn Petch), Claudia Durastanti, Elena Saavedra Buckley and Maria Judite de Carvalho (tr. Margaret Jull Costa); and “The Boy Without a Dad”; a story by Alejandro Zambra (tr. Megan McDowell).
