Japanese aprons from the Anything brand. These traditional aprons have existed since the Edo period. In Japanese, they are called: Maekake. They are made with a Toyota shuttle loom that is over 100 years old. The indigo dyed fabric is 100% heavy cotton. Attached at the waist and tight on the hips, it protects clothes from dirt. Thanks to its strong belt, you can adjust it to your waist size. It therefore adapts equally well to a man and a woman. This Japanese apron is available in several designs: Thread family: by grace Kirin: by timo Mont Fuji Maekake Sake: A caligraphed ideogram, a small bottle and a small glass of sake reminiscent of Japanese sake bars. Lucky cat: says Maneki neko in Japanese. This little cat brings good fortune to its owner. Red Mount Fuji: represents a print of the famous mountain, well known in Japan and around the world. This painting entitled "Red Mount Fuji" is a work of the famous Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai. Astro boy Sharaku Daruma: This little lucky character from Japan. The Maekake has been worn by artisans and traders for over 200 years. It is now used around the world as uniform, kitchen clothing or work clothing. These aprons are so beautiful that they can also be hung on a wall as a wall hanging.
