GR Pro Snips

These snips are a more substantial proposition than the Okatsune snips that we also sell and which are also distributed in the UK by Niwaki.

These ones fall into Niwaki's GR Pro range. They are made from KA70 carbon steel and are hand forged in Sanjo. The yellow plastic covering to the handles makes them comfortable to grip. Snips are a useful tool to have in your repertoire as the longer blades allow for a more precise cut in a tight area. They are very useful for dead heading and for harvesting cut flowers, they should not be used for pruning jobs where a pair of secateurs will be a better match.

As with all tools good upkeep results in good tools. The blades can be sharpened with a sharpening stone and they can be cleaned with crean mate and protected with camellia oil.
