* Bougnats come from the Massif Central and more particularly from the north of Aveyron. They immigrated to Paris around the 19th century. The latter will gradually orient themselves in the charcoal and wood trade as well as in drinking establishments. It is from this time that the Parisians go the nicknamed Bougnats (word derived from coal and also certainly from Auvergnat).
