2023 marks Bertil Vallien's 60th anniversary of working with the Kosta Boda Glassworks in Sweden. To celebrate this milestone he launches an exclusive collection of new works representing his great work.

Earth On Top Sculpture Midnight represents the universe that the artist inhabits. Full of symbolism and imagery, Vallien's intriguing creations all tell a story that is always open to interpretation and will no doubt invite discussion. Earth Sculpture Midnight features a shiny gold house on top of a deep blue orb within which there are swirling trails of blue.

"My home, my castle, my place on earth. The house and home are profound symbols, powerful metaphors for so much in life - security, family, self, my possessions, my world. It is a decorative object, but if one wants to it encompasses so much more. This is a theme that I strived to refine to get to the very core."
