The Mestari Control is the newest silhouette in the KARHU collection and our latest model to feature a robust, slip-resistant outsole. Inspired by several prototypes from KARHU’s back catalogues, the Mestari Control utilizes a novel traction pattern found on an early 80s version of the Albatross. Our design team has reimagined this unique outsole to create a sturdier version of the Mestari with more grip for day-to-day use. Additionally, the upper of the Mestari Control features detailed tooling inspired by an older silhouette, the KARHU Balance. _KARHU, meaning “bear” in Finnish, is a leading running brand, and has provided technical running and outdoor gear for 100 years.
