DESCRIPTION
Presenting the psychedelic fish study by Dutch publisher, book seller and atlas maker Louis Renard. Renowned for his vivid imagination, Renard studied and sketched Aquatic life of the West Indies during the 18th century. His studies were colourful and playful and were in fact the first encyclopedia of fish illustrations in colour.
This A3 artwork has been digitally enhanced for full detail and definition, showcasing five fishes ranging in different sizes, patterns and featuring original notes alongside the sketches.
