With a gentle nod to Scandinavian folk art, Wiinblad's romantic, imaginative art is now reinterpreted in this modern, functional range of ceramics fit for a new generation.
A recent addition to the Wiinblad collection, the special edition Rie Bud Vase (also works well as a candle holder) is now available with details in soft pastel lavender with stripes and geometric patterns in uplifting shades of yellow, green and pale blue. With the familiar round head and long body reminiscent of vintage Wiinblad pieces, plus a smiling face, bright, zesty colour and rosy cheeks, this vase is a superb contemporary interpretation of Scandinavian folk art - a throw-back to Wiinblad's original work. Using the artist's own drawings for the gentle facial features and even the pattern on the dress design, there is an authenticity and a nostalgia about these beautiful porcelain pieces which makes them so very likeable.
