Welcome to the fairy tale world of Copenhagen-born artist Bjørn Wiinblad, whose brightly coloured, detailed designs became very popular in post-war Europe. With a gentle nod to Scandinavian folk art, Wiinblad's romantic, imaginative art is now reinterpreted in this modern, functional range of ceramics fit for a new generation.

Bjørn Wiinblad was fascinated with hats and his archives reveal endless examples of ever more playful and exotic creations. Not known for restrained designs, his hats were far from demure and often featured towering, sculptural headwear that gave his ladies an avant-garde appearance and a great sense of fun.  Inspired by Wiinblad’s original shapes and colours, the new Lady With Hat designs also feature some of his favourite decorative features such as the figurative flowers set around the hat's brim.
